The payment channels offered with FirstPoynt include:
  • Web Module: An internet-based solution for online payment. With the FirstPoynt web solution, clients have three options:
    • FirstPoynt Direct: A hosted, client-branded offering where the client's buyers can log in and access bill/invoice information and make payments. FirstView manages the log in and authentication process.
    • FirstPoynt Portal: A hosted, client-branded site to which the client's buyers are transferred seamlessly via "single sign-on" (SSO) to FirstPoynt. Buyers are not required to log in again to access our payment function.
    • FirstPoynt Frames: A hosted solution that permits FirstPoynt to operate within the web presence (frames) of our clients. Buyers see the identical web borders throughout the online payment experience.
  • Customer Service Representative (CSR) Module: A hosted web-based solution that enables CSRs, agents or other representatives to accept payments on behalf of buyers/customers. This module is suited for entities that wish to accept payments from inbound calls and walk-ins (over-the-counter). It also supports outbound calls for collections and credit purposes.
  • Interactive Voice Response (IVR) Module: A hosted, automated and telephone-based solution for accepting payments via touch tone telephone.
  • Kiosk Payments: An internet-based self-service payment channel for remote locations like local libraries, grocery stores and other convenient locations.
  • FirstPoynt Gateway: A payment gateway solution for clients to interact directly to FirstView for electronic transaction processing.

For payment methods, our clients may enable any of the following:

Additionally, FirstPoynt offers two payment funding models:
  1. Merchant funded: The merchant pays for all ACH, credit card and debit card fees.
  2. Consumer funded: The buyer pays a convenience or service fee that in the aggregate pays for the ACH, credit card and debit card fees.

Any combination of the channels, payment methods and funding models above can be enabled and FirstPoynt comprehensive reporting of payments and buyer activities for all channels is integrated into one easy-to-use, web- based administrative tool.


Other optional services include:
  • Dispute resolution and management: A client business rule-based and automated means of disputing invoices online. Disputes and supporting data are captured and delivered to our client to facilitate rapid cash application.
  • Multi-approval Workflow: A flexible tool to enable business buyers to have multiple users with differing approval limits and security levels to better support its Accounts Payable department process flow.
  • Detail presentment: Delivering bill/invoice detail for online viewing and downloading.
  • TrendPoynt: A payment analysis tool that allows our clients to modify payment methods and payment limits for individuals or groups of buyers based on their payment trends and history to better manage payment processing risk, bank NSF fees, and credit card interchange/chargeback fees.
  • Multiple payment process flow: A means of presenting multiple invoices/bills on one screen to allow customers and buyers to pay any or all available invoices/bills in one payment. The remittance information delivered will retain the individual invoice/bill data to facilitate cash application.
